The Q850 records in 2K QHD (2560 × 1440) resolution at 30fps on the front camera and Full HD 1080p on the rear camera, delivering sharp footage with excellent detail so important moments are captured clearly.
Equipped with a 5.14MP Sony Exmor R STARVIS sensor, the camera delivers excellent image clarity and improved low-light performance, ensuring clear footage during night driving or in dark environments.
Thinkware’s Super Night Vision 2.0 technology enhances brightness and reduces noise in low-light conditions, improving visibility of licence plates and surrounding vehicles at night.
The integrated GPS records vehicle speed, location and route data, allowing footage to be accurately mapped and reviewed during playback.

The Thinkware Q850 includes several Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) alerts to help improve road safety:
Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) - Warns the driver of impending road hazards.
Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW) - Informs the driver of the vehicle ahead starting to move.
Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) - Detects if the vehicle is veering off the driving lane.
The system can provide alerts for speed cameras and red-light cameras, helping drivers stay aware of road safety zones.
Motion Detection - Monitor and capture any motion around the vehicle for potential vandalism attempts
Impact Detection - Monitor any impact to the vehicle while it is parked to catch any hit-and-run driver in the act while you are away
Time Lapse Parking Mode - Catch any potential bumps, scrapes and other incidents by recording footage from your vehicle when you are not nearby. Timelapse mode records at 2 frame per second (FPS) to reduce the size of the video file. This allows the dash cam to record longer than other dash cams whilst in parking mode.
Energy Saving Mode - When in use, the device will go to sleep and after an impact has been detected by the built-in G-sensor, it will wake up within a second and start recording for the next 20 seconds.
